Residents want MPAJ to release EIA of Bukit Antarabangsa project

NO DECISION has been made on a proposed mixed development project in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president Abdul Hamid Abdul Hussain said.

He said the project was discussed at the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) on Feb 18.

“They have not made any decision because there are several issues pending.

“The state government has asked MPAJ to check on the conditions set by the technical departments of the project.

“The developers will be required to explain their measures to comply with the conditions,” he disclosed.

Folks in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang, say they will go all out to halt a proposed high density project in the area.

It is learnt that a proposal had been submitted to Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) for the construction of eight-, 10-, 24- and 41-storey blocks comprising office suites, a condominium, a three-storey shopping centre and a multilevel carpark on a 3.48ha plot at Lot 850, at the junction of Jalan Wangsa 1 and MRR2.

NGO: EKVE reports incomplete

AN ENVIRONMENTAL group has voiced its disappointment over the decision by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) to approve the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) project.

Treat Every Environment Special (Trees) directors Christa Hashim and Leela Panikkar said they had been disillusioned by the way the project had been pushed through and the overall lack of transparency.
