The proposed aerial tram project in Cameron Highlands will only be given the go-ahead after the authorities have studied its environmental impact.
Cameron Highlands district officer Datuk A. Rahman Hamzah Rahman said the project, estimated to cost RM550 million, would only be given the nod after an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report had been submitted and approved.
However, Rahman claimed that an aerial tram network would have a relatively small impact on the environment.
