3 hotels in Bhubaneswar face closure over pollution norms

Date of Release:

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) will seal three big hotels here for violating pollution control norms. The hotels have been running without the OSPCB's mandatory consent. On Monday, it served closure notices on the hotels.

Pollution board sources revealed that since their opening, the hotels have never applied for 'consent to establish' and 'consent to operate' although the board has sent several reminders to them. The hotels also allegedly ignored two show causes notices slapped on them for not applying for the mandatory consent.
