At a reception on May 3 in Bangkok, Her Excellency Kristie A. Kenney, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, honored Dr. Supat Wangwongwatana for his contributions in improving the environment in Asia through his leadership of the Asian Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Network (AECEN). Dr. Supat is the Director General of the Thailand Pollution Control Department and chairperson of the AECEN Executive Committee. During the past 5 years, Dr. Supat has led AECEN's efforts to promote and replicate best practices on environmental compliance and enforcement through concrete peer-to-peer collaboration.
